Hi - it has been many years since you allowed us to adopt Phred who we still miss terribly - he was a wonderful companion, "watch dog" (watching to be sure no one did anything bad in HIS house - many a pizza delivery boy was greeted with a very loud bark followed by a very dangerous wagging tail). We are now in Georgia with Da Bear, who is an 8 1/2 brindle and we are looking for another mastiff (fawn or apricot). Since the distance is so great, do you know of any breeders in the Atlanta or Savannah areas who we could contact? | ||

| Uh ... A neighbor, who just moved to our valley from
Colorado, lost her Mastiff and came to our gate with a photo or her dog.
We liked what we saw and decided to look into the breed. We live about two hours east of Phx, AZ, in the Superstition Mountains, on 8 acres. We do not have any neighbors, except for cattle ranchers, each living about a mile east and a mile west of us. We now own a six-year-old Rottweiler. He is showing some aging, although he is still quite healthy, we will need another dog when ours passes on to doggie heaven. We don’t want to replace him, as we never could, that is why I am contacting you; we want to get an idea of what we could be in for? We raise Texas Longhorn cattle, how do the Mastiffs get along with cows and cats? Do you come to dog shows here in Arizona? If so, when and where? | Uh ... You're dogs are beautiful. We are waiting on our dog from a breeder in Colorado. The mother of the litter will be 2 yrs. in September, so we are waiting on her to get her certification and then the breeder is going to breed her around December. Scarlet (the female) is already 140 lbs. and 30 inches at her shoulders, and such a great temperment. She is crossing her with a champion who is 37 inches at his shoulders and 250 lbs. (oh, I'm talking about a fawn english mastiff) I can't wait, I get more anxious by the day. | ||
